Creating Pretty Cards – Sketch Challenge #68!

I have made one more card for this sketch seen at Craft Project Central Sketch # 68.  Last month they did not have 10 to draw from and I don't want anyone to miss out for the lack of 1 card. I love this oceanic stamp set as I love anything about the sea. I used the Seaside Shore to stamp the little fish and his bubbles. I can now say that I have actually seen a fish blow bubbles out of his gills as a scare tactic. It startled me but it did not scare me away.

Hey Chick

This is quickly becoming a favorite freebie for SAB this year for me. I love the little chickens in this set. I kept this one very simple and used Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White - a color combo that is never wrong! The stripe paper is from the Pop of Pink DSP.

Thank You card in color

I found this card and a quick tutorial for it and had to make one. I changed up the colors to suit me but the rest is the same. I started with a Whisper White card then stamped using the Swirly Bird stamp set. I cut using the matching die for that set. The colors are So Saffron, Marina Mist, Pear Pizazz and Rose Red. Pretty and fun!

CPC Card Challenge of the Month - #68

The sketch this month is tres simple so play along. This is my 2nd card for this sketch and may not be my last one. For this card I used Whisper White, Real Red, Emerald Envy and Basic Black card stock. I also used a piece of the Fruit Stand DSP for the strawberry and the stripe paper. The bees are from Dragonfly Dreams and the matching die cut. The words are from the Hostess set Pun Intended.

Bring on the Summer with Dragonfly Dreams

I cannot say how ready for summer that I am! I really hate winter and this year has been no exception. At least we are going on a Caribbean vacation in a couple of weeks for our Spring Break! So, this paper stack called Serene Scenery is so yummy. I took what looks like a wildflower field and filled it with dragonflies. Bring on summer!

Dragonfly Dreams...

Another Dragonfly card and this one is a case of someone...hmm, my memory fails me. Anyway, I used watercolor paper and my watercolor pencils. Scribble on the paper, water it with the Aqua Painters and voila...you get a gorgeous background. I then added some dragonflies cut using my Big Shot and a little verse from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set.

Valentine Treats from My Paper Pumpkin

I am always a bit late on posting the Paper Pumpkin kit projects and this month is no exception. People get them in different places sooner or later and mine seem to come a bit late. But never fear, I get them done. This last month was a Valentine project and it is so cute. As you may know, I have been working in schools for the past 17 years and that never leaves me a shortage of folks to craft for and this year I have made a passel of these darling boxes. I filled them with Dove chocolate hearts and called them done. It is all in the details. So cute, if you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin  you get this kit before it is gone. If you don't subscribe...why not? For only 19.95 (including S&H) you can have kits like this mailed to your home monthly! Subscribe here and be sure to choose me as your demonstrator!

Another Valentine Card

This makes 2 for me this year and this little Sealed with Love bundle is such fun! I love the edged hearts on the card and the pretty DSP from the paper stack in the mini Occasions for Spring. Someone is definitely going to be feeling the love this year!

Sealed with Love

I cannot forget that Valentine's will be  here soon so I cased a card from Mickey Roberts and made a couple of minor changes to make it mine. I loved her sketch and this is the first time I have played with this stamp set. I got it to make a banner for my office at work. I still will and when I get it up I will share it but for now I am sharing my Valentine card for 2017.

Paisleys & Posies

I really like this pretty stamp set. I like Paisley's and if you do then this is a great set for you. It has lots of paisley's and words... It is a two-for!  I did this card to look like a bandana and I used Tempting Turquoise. I am sick and tired of winter and am ready to "tie one on" (a bandana) and get outside to do some yard work! I made this one into a quick anniversary card because our anniversary is in March.

3x3 Cards

These little 3x3 cards are fast, fun and easy to make and they make great gift enclosure cards that you could by for a couple of dollars anywhere. They use very little supplies but can make a big impact. You could punch a hole and tie them onto a gift bag or you can punch your own envelope using the envelope maker punch and some cute designer paper or even just printer paper.

Another Dragonfly Dreams card

Here is the 2nd card we will be making with what I hope will be the making of my first club here in OKC. This set has great images and a matching set of thinlets for cutting accuracy.
