July Paper Pumpkin...

Ok, this is the last one for this Paper Pumpkin kit but I still have plenty of supplies left and may be using them on other projects. They have really gotten much more generous than when it first started.

July Paper Pumpkin...

This is Card 2 & 3 I made using the kit... I made this one and the next one like the kit but I reversed the sentiments.

July Paper Pumpkin...

I showed you the video for August My Paper Pumpkin but I am a bit behind. School has started and my schedule is much more busy even though I do have to work year round. I am making cards to show you from the last month and next I will do the August projects. I plan to stretch it out as I am working so much and then will be out of town for a week!

Card 1: July

For this card I added a piece of Back to Black  DSP and the sentiment is from Something to Say. I made 2 of these with the kit. Very simple to make and I really like the Tangerine Tango with the Black.

PP259: A Sketch Challenge from Joanne

Yea! It is another sketch. I love sketches. You just substitute colors and stamps and the card is practically made for you. This one came together so quickly and easily!

I decided to again use my Cheer All Year stamp set but I made a Christmas card this time around. I think I am really going to like this set and I am trying to make good use of it now!

CCMC369 - Sketch Challenge

CCMC369 - Sketch Challenge

This is the sketch for the week. It seemed basic until I started playing with it. I did it but it was a challenge for me. I love the English Garden DSP and may have to get more of it. I just got Awesomely Artistic and wanted to use that also. Here is my take on the above sketch. Thanks for dropping by!

PPA264: A Sketch Challenge

I got some new stamping sets this week and had to sit down to play instead of cooking dinner. I know my hubby will notice soon but until then...here we go. I got the new set Cheer All Year because it is versatile and I am all about using it lots! Then I saw this sketch on Pals Paper Arts and decided to jump in...

PPA264

I also used some of the new Happy Haunting DSP even though I said I would not buy it all...well, some habits are hard to break!

Before I show my card I wanted to show you a little card stock cheat. Why waste all that beautiful card stock just to make a mostly hidden border?

Now, my card for the challenge. Simple Simon!

Sheltering Tree and Fall

We start school tomorrow in El Reno, OK and we have a taste of fall in the air. We had 96 degrees on Monday and tomorrow it will be in the 50's for the morning bus stop. It certainly brings fall to mind. Maybe not my favorite season but it is growing on me. I am really a hot weather girl! Here is a pretty card I made to send to my MIL who was recently moved into an assistive living facility.

Polka Dot Tag-a-Bag Gift Card Holder

I saw this idea on Patty Bennett's blog and quickly sat down to make one for myself. I did not have the same bag she had so I did mine using the polka dot bags. You simply fold it to make a pocket. It actually could be a double gift card holder although I am only showing one. I used the Cherry on Top DSP stack and the Tin of Cards stamp set. It took about 10 minutes or less to make.

Friendly Wishes

I am back and have a tiny bit of stamping time today! We have been buying lawn mowers and storage sheds and building them in the back yard! Whew! That is hard work and now I am stamping to settle down a bit. I am playing the color challenge on CCMC today.

CCMC368

My card is my favorite kind to make...clean and simple. I do really love some of those detailed cards but they are just too fussy for me to sit down to make. This one was easily done with markers, a stamp and a punch.

Back to Stamping...

I am home from Atlanta and back to stamping. However, I warn you that I am not finished sewing. I still have more to show but I will show them more intermittently. I saved so many of the handmade baby clothes and I am planning to make a burp diaper for all the holidays at least thru the 1st year so she can have some pretty ones for church.

Now for my card. It is another square. I saw one like it and knew I had to make my own. Again, it is a birthday card. I have about 10 birthdays this month so I am getting ready.

Grocery Cart Cover

I know it is hard to figure out but this is a little grocery cart cover. I was going to pad it a bit but we decided that it would be easier to pack in the diaper bag if it was so big! BTW, her nursery is Mermaids.

Another Onesie Gown

I made another little onesie gown. I loved the gowns on the babies while they were little. So much easier to change at night while nursing without having to try to match all those snaps! I saw a quick tutorial for this and Voila!

Something Old...

Have you ever hand smocked? Well, I did for years while my kids were little. In fact, my son says I made him wear a smocked shirt to his high school graduation but I didn't. The boys stopped wearing them by age 4 and they were pants and shorts...not dresses. This is something I made for my baby girl...she was our third after having 2 boys. I am passing it on for her little one. It is 25 years old!

And More...

Today is the big church shower...I wanted to surprise her with a few goodies new and old... This is new but I wanted it to look vintage. She had requested something for her and baby to match at the hospital. I made her a robe and made the baby an embellished onesie with a headband.

More Baby Gifts

These are some little burp cloths that we made. I sewed and Mike embroidered. I pick colors and fonts...he does the digitizing and sewing...

I Interrupt this Stampin' Post for...

I interrupt this Stampin' Post for an announcement...I am going to be a grandma again...this time our baby girl is having a baby girl! We are so excited. I am going to Atlanta this week (now actually) for 3 baby showers so I have been sewing and crafting like crazy. I am not finished but I thought I would show you some of our projects. I have to say our because my hubby is the embroidery man. I hope she is not peeking! First a little Vera B bunny for the baby. We added the B.

It's Hip to be Square

If it is hip to be square this little card is perfect. It is a 2x2 card like the ones they showed at the Stampin' Up! convention. I made it quickly and it fits perfectly for this challenge albeit so small!

It is something that everyone has so I can never have too many birthday cards. I need them for boys, girls, men and women. This one is suitable for anyone. It is simply so bright and cheery!

Thanks for looking!
