Another Punch Board Project

What? Another use for the Envelope Punch Board! Am I tempting you? Sorry, but I had to show you this little post-it note holder. It  holds the tiny 1x1.5" post it notes. The little elastic In  Color ribbon makes it easy to open and reclose. I am giving these to my hubby's secretaries.

Nacho Average Challenge #82

Well, another color challenge for this week and these soft colors are so springy. So, I pulled out a favorite standby stamp set, Papillon Potpourri and made a quick 3 x 6 card for this challenge. I love the butterflies for almost any card and season. I even saw them as decorations on Christmas trees in Curacao, in the Dutch Netherlands.

One More Lovely Project - SAB

Don't Panic! You still have a couple of more days to get your Sale-a-Bration order together and get the great FREEBIES. This little bag will hold a fun little gift. I used a piece of 8x8 DSP to make it and stamped the You are Lovely free set for the topper. I used the colors of Calypso Coral with the pretty In Color of Crisp Cantaloupe.

PPA197 - A Sketch Challenge

PPA197 March 27

After watching the fun Video class using the SAB Bundle I was in the mood to make a gift box. Imagine that! So, while perusing a little store the other day I had found this little box in a set of 3 for 0.99 so I bought only 1 to try them out. Well, as fate would have it, I love it and now will have to rush back and see if there are any more. It worked out perfectly for this sketch and it gave me one more chance to show off the Sweet Sorbet DSP that is only available until the 31st of this month. So, without further ado...

I used the Around Array stamp set for the K is for Kindness stamp and rummaged through my 'good stuff' file for a letter K. How simple is that? Add a little goodies and maybe a gift card and you have an instant gift.

DD#95 {Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky & Pale Plum}

Three very soft and pretty colors so I had to play along. I was a stumped only for a few minutes when I saw these colors. I had seen some pretty cards and trends with the diagonals and swipes so I combined them for this very quick and easy card.

Zoo Babies

CCMC295

Ok, I got up this week ready to get busy. I got a job offer last week and I will be back to full-time working out of the home on April 7th. So, I was going to get so ahead and also play the challenges combining some to make it a little more simple. Alas, I have done 3 and none are combined! Oh Well, I can always use another baby card and I found I had not used this cute little giraffe stamp.

Hexagon Gone Wild

Hexagon gone wild here with this card. Yes, I used the Hexagon die but not all of it. I cut some of it to make this pretty little card. Then I punched the Real Red accents using the hexagon punch and put them behind the die cut. I fussy cut the arrows and pointed to my sentiment. I love Real Red with Tempting Turquoise. very striking.

Carbs, Schmarbs

Another alligator card although this one has such a sharp snout that I am sure he must be a crocodile! I made it a birthday card with the carbs, schmarbs sentiment. It will be used for my hubby who has restricted himself from carbs for years and years! I wish he could just get over it and enjoy cake a little more. So, I will not be making him a cake...maybe some vegan ice cream.

Cheer Up!

A case of casing. Yes, I used this layout the other week but it is so fun and useful and I am really liking the little paper bows made with the Envelope Punch Board. So, I used the colors from the Kaleidoscope DSP and whipped up another card.

Smile Card

Well, this is a challenge that I have not played with for a long time! I almost forgot about it and then I remembered them. The sketch is above and my card for it is below. I was inspired by the wreath kit in the mini for this card and cut out and punched my own flowers. This would be hard to mail but could be a great card for a hand delivery.

Live in the Sunshine

What a fun card. Living here in Oklahoma one thing we do get is sunshine! And when it is sunny it is sunny. The sky is ginormous around here! Since I am solar charged I say, YaHoo! So, this card was a case from someone else but so fun I made it my own. Love the little buttons.

Look Ma, No Layers

This was a quick, 5 minute or less card that I made the other day and am sharing now. I love stamp sets that have the image and words together. They really take all the guess work out of making a card and using one color makes it really quick.

Another SAB stamp - You are Lovely

Well, this is another of the wonderful FREE stamp sets that are about to disappear. I love how this card came out. I used the daffodils from the You are Lovely set to stamp on water color card stock and then fussy cut the image. I colored using my Daffodil Delight pen with a touch of the Pear Pizazz. With all the layers and the feminine little doily I just had to make it into a mother's day card. Now, I  have one more to make. But if you want one of these beauties you have to order your $50 worth of merchandise today and get this fabulous set for FREE.

More Sewing

I guess I am missing my sewing machine a bit because I have pulled it out and used it again for another quick card. Aren't these little butterfly cards great! They are 3x3 and so simple to make. I simply punched 3 butterflies out of DSP and sewed them on the the card. They make great gift enclosures.

DD#94 {Black & Mustard Yellow with the OPTION of Dry Embossing}

One thing that I have not shared about myself, at least not in quite a while is that I am a reader. I love to read books of all kinds. I just finished an Oprah Book Club book called The Invention of Wings, by Sue Monk Kidd. Her book had so many allusions to birds and wings that when I saw this challenge I was inspired to make a bird card.

My St. Patrick's Day Party - Home Group

Our Home Group/Life Group met on Sunday pm at our home and I hosted using a St. Patrick's Day theme. I did lots of little things that added up to a pretty cute little party. I am sharing pic's from that event today. Everyone  had a chance to wear a mustache, hat and glasses for the "wearing o' the green."  It was a lot of fun! Now we are looking for an idea to host a neighborhood event!

Paper Players Challenge #187

This week the theme is Clean-and-Simple "Spring." I am really wishing for a clean and simple spring this year. I am loving Oklahoma and looking forward to finding a job and settling in to a regular routine. I am also ready for the grass to green up so I can start cutting and playing outside. So, I am making a CAS card for this challenge. I really like the Regarding Dahlias set and am casing a catalog card.

Happy St. Patty's Day

I pulled out my sewing machine to make this fun card. I do not have any St. Patrick's Day stamps this year so I made a 4 leaf clover with hearts and sewing. I think it turned out really cute. Love the little sentiment. It is fun and funky!

Envelope Cracker

Ooh, I have not made one of these in about a year. This one I made not using the die cut but using the great new and oh so versatile Envelope Punch Board. Yes, the envelope thingy. I was quick and easy. I am making these to set at our table on Monday for St. Patrick's Day. I filled mine with kisses. Yummy!

Happy Watercolor

I made this card for the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week. The colors are so pretty and so springy. I have been cruising the aisles at my local big box flower stores to see what comes in and what grows here in OK. I can hardly wait to start cutting the grass and planting flowers. I know, still a month until April 15 so I am trying to be patient. So, I made some paper flowers!

Now for my entry:

Quilted Card

Well, it seems like it has been a harsh winter in so many ways around the US this year. We have had a lot of illness with the flu and a lot of deaths associated with it. Plus, we have had sudden deaths with the cold weather. I gave away all my cards when I moved and I am having a hard time playing catch-up and I really needed a nice sympathy card. I love how this came out with the Afternoon Picnic DSP. I will be sending it out this week.

See Ya Later, Alligator

See this fun card! I cased it but that is OK. I just can't remember who from! Anyway, I had made another alligator card and then saw this one and LOVE it! It is so cute and so boy! So, I used so many fun supplies to make it and it turned out so cute. Now, this stamp set that I used on the inside is limited...it disappears with Sale-a-Bration on March 31. So, hurry and get your $50 order together to get this fun set.

Field Flowers for Spring

CCMC294

No doubt about it, I am suffering from Spring Fever. I have the sniffles, runny and itchy eyes and I cannot clear my throat...sure signs that spring is upon us. One day this week we even had 79 degree temps outside! So, this challenge on the Create with Connie and Mary blog is perfect. I cased myself from a couple of years ago for this card. It is very simple so case away (if desired).

Playing with the Paper Players

A cool picture to be inspired by. And I saw a card the other day that I was wanting to play with using the Hexagon die so...A CAS card for the challenge.

Hooray for Today!

What fun colors! I just had to play along. I learned last week how to make a bow with the envelope punch board and so I made a pretty bow to go with my card. I have been a bit lonely since I moved 1000 miles and have not had any stamping parties and am missing my old friends (hi!). So, I have been making a lot of cheer up cards! You can NOT tell your story. So, I guess I am cheering myself up with stamping!

My Lucky Banner

I decided that with our Family Life Group/Home Group meeting at our new home on the 16th that I would have a St. Patty's Day themed meeting. Of course, we will have a devotional and then the food will be simple with some 'touch of the green' for the party theme. This is the first project that I did. I wanted to make a quick and simple banner.

Now, I am working on all the other fun things for this party! I will post them next week afterwards so no one will get to peek early!
