A Card Anyone Can Make

Ok, I found this image by searching google. I then printed it out on Whisper White and layered it up with Tango Tangerine and put it all on a Whisper White card. I added a scrap of Basic Black for a little depth. Ta Da! See, I told you anyone could make it.

Snowman Nesting Boxes

This is a set of nesting boxes that was made for one demonstrator and given to another then shared. I have shamelessly put it here on my blog to show what a great job that was done with it. I don't know who made it, except the first name of Patti. But...enjoy!

His body is paper mache' boxes that have been covered with Deck the Halls DSP. She used Early Espresso 1-1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon for his hat band. Notice his buttons...they are the rolled roses made with the same Deck the Halls DSP. Thanks, Patti!! He has a new home and really likes it here.

Tags til Christmas

This is like a card I made for the Chattanooga regional last year. I used the lone pine tree from Lovely as a Tree to look like the branches. Then I stamped the ornament from the Tags til Christmas set. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the card, did a few layers of card stock and out popped this beautiful Christmas card.

If all goes well, I will be flying home tomorrow from my 1st ever tropical Christmas. I know it is always tropical in Australia and I wanted to try it out for myself.

Another 5 minute or less card. If you have all the supplies at your finger tips then you can do it too! I used the Tags til Christmas set with Real Red and Whisper White card stock and the 2 tag punches.

I hope you had a visit from St. Nick last night and that all your holiday wishes came true for you this year!

I quickly made this card using one of the level 1 hostess sets called Northern Hearts. It is in the current mini catalog. It has some pretty snowflakes in it so I made a nice snowflake card. I used the Shimmery White card stock along with Night of Navy. The ink is Marina Mist and the ribbon is Bashful Blue.

Jolly Old Saint Nick

I absolutely love this stamp set. It just reminds me of days gone by with the older looking images. Here is a wonderfully simple card done with the Santa picture. The supplies used here are: Old Olive, Real Red, and Jolly Holiday DSP. The ink is Basic Black and it has been softly water colored. The ribbon is again the Real Red seam binding. It features a glittery brad over a stamped image for the "big" brad look. This came from the Create with Connie and Mary website...their Holiday Edition. I really enjoyed their membership and they will be doing it again in the spring.

Christmas Postcard

I made this beautiful card using the Christmas Postcard stamp. It is one of those new single stamps that Stampin' Up! has been offering. I kept it very simple by not coloring it this time. The card is Cherry Cobbler with Early Expresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and DSP. The ribbon is from the new mini catalog and it is Cherry Cobbler seam binding.

Well, we have had quite a week at our house. I am determined not to let the holidays stress me out. I don't think that is the intention of them and I feel that if I am too stressed out then I must have lost the true meaning of Christmas.

That being said, my oven went out on me on Monday evening while I was trying to prepare dinner. My hubby came home and took it apart and found the bad piece but it was too late to get it. He went to get one on Tuesday and they did not have one. He called another place and was assured of getting it by 2:30 Wednesday.

Ok, on Sunday I invited my family over for a little early Christmas festivities because we are leaving town on Saturday and so is our youngest child. I am supposed to bake cookies with my 5 year old granddaughter and then cook a warm supper because we have been having record low temps for the last 2 weeks including today (Wednesday)

I got home and my hubby was relaxing in his big comfy chair and the oven was fixed! A few minutes later the kids started arriving. We baked cookies and I fixed 2 favorite dinners (I had to use what I did not get to cook on Monday) and we all ate. Then we found out that the roads were iced and now we have 3 adults, 2 children and a dog all spending the night with us! Well, we had a great dinner, shared some presents, sat by the warm fire and everyone slept over.

Thank goodness for the rain and warm weather, now everything is back to normal after a 2 hour delay to schools and businesses. We in Atlanta are not equipped to handle snow or ICE!

Bright Christmas

This is a simple and yet striking card that was easy to do. I used the new set, Bright Christmas to stamp the sentiment. I then layered it with Garden Green and again with Whisper White. The inks are Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. I think the mini pearls just finishes this card.

Tags Til Christmas

This card reminds me of the year I wrapped all of our packages in brown mailing paper. I then hand tied burgundy or forest green velvet bows on every package. Needless to say, it took a long time to do. I then went out and ran some errands only to come home and see that NONE of the tape held! I had to use the glue gun to re-wrap every gift.

For this card I used Crumb Cake, Whisper White card stock. The card was distressed with Chocolate Chip ink and the tag was colored using Old Olive and Chocolate Chip markers. The ribbon is the new Cherry Cobbler seam binding.

Hanukkah Card

I had a friend ask me for a card for a Jewish friend and her only requirement was that the card not say "Merry Christmas." I do not have any Jewish stamp sets so I set about to make this dreidel card. I used different blues that matched the retired DSP that I had on hand.

Loads of Love

My friend, Theresa, has been in love with this truck stamp since she first saw it 5 years ago! So she has been wanting to use it for her card. She always does a photo card and this is her card for the year. Her whole family loved it. We used Poppy Parade and Garden Green card stocks and Stazon black for the ink. Thanks for letting me share it my friend!

Naughty or Nice?

My stampers and I also made these little candy stacks with the wonderful mini cellophane bags. They hold these perfectly as well as other small candies. I kept this one simple as we also made a Christmas card. The tag was stamped using the Tags til Christmas set. I am planning to drop these off with my co-workers so I have several more to make. But aren't they cute?

Christmas Tags

Ok, so did I mention that I was recently published in Stampers Sampler Take Ten magazine??? Well, I got 3 of my submissions published in the Winter issue!!! I was so excited. Then as I was browsing it I found these tags. Well, I was inspired to make them with my stampers group this past Tuesday night. Everyone loved them and I know who I am going to give them to already. We used Crumb Cake, Whisper White and the Jolly Holiday DSP. I love their simplicity.
