Punch Potpourri

This is one of the great level 1 hostess sets you can earn by making a $150 or more order OR by hosting a $150 or more party. The choice is yours! I made another square card using all the images in this stamp set. I also used my tools to make punches around the punched images. Colors used: Whisper White, Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pear Parfait and Tempting Turquoise.

Priceless

I have been able to use this stamp set for so many projects and cards over the years. This is an example of a very simple card (just my style). I simply used Whisper White and Concord Crush.

Pocket Silhouettes

OK, this card is for all of you who struggle with the "manly man" card. I kept it simple and used all brown colors. Sahara Sand, Early Expresso and Soft Suede.

Pick a Petal

Ok, I did a card like this a couple of years ago and thought it was so cute that I knew I wanted to make another. I love how you can make a cute character with these flower parts! I used Tempting Turquoise, Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Crumb Cake.

Petal Pizazz

Petal Pizazz is a great 2-step stamping set. I love the bold images and it would also work well as a "kissing" stamp. I CASE'd a card done by Kathryn Somers but changed the colors to make it more current. I love square cards but hate to pay the extra postage! This will be a great "get well" card. Colors used: Whisper White, Pear Pizazz, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait.

Perfect Punches

This is a new set in the catalog and it has 6 stamps in it. It is available in the clear which makes lining things up much more easily. I used the super fun Celebrations DSP and the colors just make it pop! Pear Pizazz, Real Red, Pacific Point and Whisper White.

Oval All

Yet another word only set. I love these oval words especially since Stampin' Up! has the perfect punch for them! This is a very simple yet elegant card that will make a wonderful wedding card. Just black and white.

Occasional Quotes

This is another stamp set that is all words. I had seen a card done like this somewhere and knew I wanted to make one. It features the new little owl punch and the large circle punch. I think it turned out so cute!

Nature Silhouettes

I think this stamp set is so masculine and I love the saying...

"To pay homage to BEAUTY is to admire NATURE;
to admire nature is to WORSHIP GOD."
Unknown.

Midnight Raven

Ahh, this little stamp is in the current holiday mini shown on page 41. I had not seen too many samples with this one yet so I had to make up my own. I used the Night Owl DSP, with Concord Crush, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black and Whisper White. I don't know if it shows up but I added the "beady" eye to the raven by coloring one of the new pearls with black stazon.

Messages for Mom

This little set first came out in the spring mini but it was carried over to the big catalog and I am so happy! I love it when I buy a stamp set that is not discontinued too quickly. This one has a cool MOM font even though I did not use it in this sample). I did use the little flowers. I Cased a sketch by Gretchen Barron for this one.

Medallion

Wow! Hard to believe I am already on the M stamps! I tell you what, this has really kept me stamping and creating! I started the challenge for something to blog, but now I am addicted again...at least to stamping!!! Today I am doing the Medallion stamp. It is a single background stamp that is very versatile. I love how it can be the main image or a background. This card has just 2 colors, Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry. I think with the right colors it could be done as a Christmas card.

Lovely Letters

This one will conclude my L stamps. I love this alphabet stamp! I have used it in so many projects. This time I made a stack of 3 x 3 cards using the S stamp and some of the new DSP, Elegant Soiree. These will make nice gift cards for my hostesses.

On a personal note, I am leaving today for a visit with friends in Plantation, Fl and then on to a cruise on Monday. I will be back next Saturday the 25th.

Lovely as a Tree

This set has got to be the oldest set still in the catalog but it has a timeless appeal! I wanted this card to be sparkly and will probably in my Christmas card stack for World Card Making day on October 2nd. I masked off the bottom of the card to keep it white. Then I used my brayer with the Marina Mist for the sky. I stamped the trees and the sentiment using black stazon. Here comes the glittery part. I stamped the versamark all over the stamped images. Then I put Heat and Stick powder over the versamark and heated it. Finally, I ran all that thru the Dazzling Diamonds and heat set it. I layered this piece on the black to make it really pop.

I will see you on October 2nd or 3rd to make your own cards like this! I will be doing a World Card Making Weekend making 5 Christmas cards, 2 of each on Saturday and Sunday. The times will be 10 AM on Saturday and 3 PM on Sunday. RSVP now to judilsparks@hotmail.com
to hold your spot. $25 is the total cost for this great class.

Love You Much

This stamp set is usually pulled out at Valentines Day. I love this Love stamp. This is a very simple card using Poppy Parade, Pacific Point and the DSP from the Hostess pack. I watercolored the letters and added the heart for the flower.

Love of Love/Accessories

This set is an oldie but a goody! I used both sets to make this one. Since it is nearly fall, I wanted to make a "fallish" card. I also wanted to water color so I tried my hand at it again. I still have not totally grasped this technique, but it will do. I stamped the truck from Loads of Love and the little lady driver and the pumpkins came from the accessory set. Colors used are: Pacific Point, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and water color paper. I used my markers and the blender pen to color.

Just Believe

This is my 3rd and final card with this set (at least for a while). This one looks fancier but was still easy to do. I cut a circle from a post it note and used the reverse for the sun. I used my stamping sponge and Daffodil Delight to make the sun. Then I used the circle to mask the sun while I sponged the Marina Mist around the sun. Next I stamped the silhouette image using Early Expresso. I then layered and punched as seen. The DSP is from the level one hostess stack in the new In Colors.

Just Believe

Ok, here we go with card #2. This is a card that I did with my stamping club the other day. It is very basic and still eye catching. I used only the circle and one of the sentiments from this set.
The colors I used were Pear Pizazz, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Peach Parfait and Pacific Point. For an added touch, I used 3 of the tiny self-stick rhinestones from page 188.

Just Believe

I am plugging away through the alphabet and what to my surprise...only 1 J stamp set. However, this one is so fun I am going to make 3 different sample cards and share one a day for the next several days.

This first one is a Case from the catalog. You can see theirs on page 109. This is a 3x3 card. I used Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip.

Inspired by Nature

Ok, this is one of the cards that we did at our last Technique Time. I just had to share it with you all. I think it turned out so nicely. I used the baby wipe technique for the background then stamped over it with Early Expresso using both of the 2 images in this stamp set. Sometimes, simplicity says it best!

I (Heart) Hearts

Well, on to my I stamp sets and I only have 2 current I stamp sets. The first one is I (Heart) Hearts. I have not ever played with this one. If you love hearts, this set is for you. It has a 8 heart images in it! I used lots of layers to make this card and the colors I used were: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip. See you tomorrow for another round.

Homemade

This is one of the single stamps that you can order for less than $10. It is perfect for those candy makers or bakers. It will make great tags for your yummy goodies! I wanted to make it into a card and this is what I came up with. My colors are Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.

Home for the Holidays

This card is a direct CASE from the catalog. I loved what they did with this set. This is a basic, 3 stamp set with only the one image. I have used it in the past for Christmas cards and I may make this one this year.

The card is 6 1/2 x 3. The colors are Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. Note the little crystals on the bow and the sentiment. I think it turned out perfectly.

Heard from the Heart

Wow! I am already on the H's. I am loving this challenge because I am really getting a lot of stamping done and I know I am not overlooking any of my stamp sets. Plus, I am getting all kinds of ideas for classes.

Today I am showing a card that I made using an only words set again. I added the flowers from the 5th Avenue Florals set. Of course the little butterflies are from the sizzlet, Beautiful Wings. The colors are Crumb Cake, Bravo Burgandy, Old Olive, Pink Pirouette and So Saffron.

Gretchen's Bird

No, this is not a stamp set. This is a bird I made from the pattern I found on Gretchen's blog. I made my first one a few weeks ago and wanted to try again. On this one I made a couple of changes. I am posting it both ways. First change, I added a string to hang it. 2nd change, I added wings. Which do you like better? Wings or no wings?

Greeting Card Kids

This is one of my newest stamp sets. I am absolutely in love with the vintage look (even more so as I start to look vintage!) so I knew this one would be added to my collection. I also love children, hence my job as a pediatric special needs nurse. I cased myself for this one. The kids clothes were water colored for a softer look. Note the red hair on the little boy, both of my grandchildren have red hair! What fun! Tomorrow I will be moving on to the H's. See you then.

G is for Great Friend

Well, I could not believe it. Out of the 15 stamp sets in the big catalog that start with the letter F, I only have 2 sets! Well, I may just have to remedy that in the future when I have more money. But for now, here is my sample done using Great Friend. I cased a card by "skdeleeuw" for the layout and used the color challenge from CCMC 112 for my colors. Of course, I made a couple of changes here and there. You can check by clicking on the red links. Have fun and stamp something today.

Friends Never Fade

Well, as sometimes happens, when I first saw this set I was not impressed. Same for the Greenhouse Gala DSP that went with it. But the more samples I have seen, the more I knew I had to get it. So, this is the first card I have made with this set and I am in love with it. It will make some beautiful cards.

Funky Four

You can see the card I cased here on page 150. This simple card was one of the first to jump out at me when I first went through the catalog. You all know what a simple stamper I am. No muss, no fuss! Any way, I tried to make mine like the one in the catalog but when I stamped the Happy Birthday, I stamped it upside down! So, what you see here is how I fixed it.

Friends 24-7

After I stamped the ornate image from this set in Pink Pirouette, I knew I wanted to use an embossed background. I think the Vintage Wallpaper was perfect for the card. I layered using Chocolate Chip because well, it is so pretty with pink! I added the bow from last years' ribbon and voila!
