And More Photos from Regionals

Here are the last of the ones I am going to share this week. I love being able to work with such talented people and sharing their inspiration with all of us. I love to CASE ideas (copy and stamp everything) from other talented folks. After all, imitation is a great form of flattery!

Happy Halloween!

It is Halloween and to me that is the quenticential start of fall! From now until Thanksgiving is the time of fall that I like. After that I could totally skip winter and move right on into spring.

Here is one more Halloween thing I have not shared with you yet. Hopefully, you have done all your candy shopping and some of it is still around to give out to all the kiddo's. Have a blessed day!

This card is using the Split Image Technique. To accomplish this, you stamp the same image on black cardstock and again on white cardstock using opposite color ink on each. Then you cut your images in half and you have enough to do 2 cards. The main image on this card is from House of Haunts. The background comes from the Night and Day DSP in the mini catalog and the saying is from the Spooky Treats rub ons.

More Pictures from the Regional

Stampin' Up! always has display boards at their events and cards that other demonstrators have made are used for these boards. I know I saw 3 of mine posted on pictures that others took at the Stampin' Up! convention this year. Here are some of the boards they had for us to look at and take photos of. Click on the photo and they will enlarge. Enjoy!

Chattanooga Regionals

I went to the Chattanooga regionals this Saturday and I had a really good time. I got my ticket at the last minute because they sold out so quickly. Well, it was much smaller than any of the other regionals I have attended. There were probably no more than 150 demonstrators there (and that is preacher counting!) I sat at a table with 5 other demonstrators, none of them I knew before hand. 3 were from right here in Marietta! Small world. Oh yeah, and I won $10 for being able to say the Statement of the Heart. I got some good swaps and will be sharing them with you for the next few days. Enjoy!

Berry Christmas

This little set is called Berry Christmas and can be found in the holiday mini catalog. This is the stamp set I got from the regional in Chattanooga on Saturday. I love the little bird in this set! I know I am going to have fun playing with this one. The card is Old Olive with an Old Olive DSP at the bottom. The bird and the word(s) is done with Real Red. The limb with leaves is done with the Old Olive. Note the little library clip in the top (a special from last week that is still available until 9 am). Wouldn't this make a great Christmas card?

Halloween Treats

Here is a little project that we made at my last $15 Hostess Club meeting. Using the Stampin' Up! die called Scallop Envelope and the Big Shot we cut 2 envelopes our of Old Olive cardstock. We made a couple of simple trims and used the small oval punch to make a handle. The decor was made with the Cast-a-Spell DSP and the Eat, Drink and Be Merry stamp set. It was punched using the great Curly Label punch. I added the Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon and some yummy Peanut m&m's for the treat. Delicious!

Build-a-Bear Project

Build-a-Bear tins are such fun to make and I can hardly wait to give them for Christmas presents this year. To make these cuties, order the tins from my website under Clearance Rack for 99 cents. Then choose cardstock and apply to a magnet sticker. Pull out your trusty Big Shot and cut using the Bear die from the mini catalog. I then used more magnet sticker and applied to DSP to cut clothes for the bear. I know at least one grandchild who will be loving hers! I am also selling these at the craft shows I am doing this fall.

Worth Repeating

Well, as you know I am into recycling whenever possible. So, I guess that goes for blog posts too! I did a challenge last year called Trash to Treasure and I have updated it a little this year. Yes, I still used a piece of trash (shampoo bottle) and turned it into a treasure. This is the Cast-a-Spell designer paper. I thought it did not need any help so I just layered it onto some pumpkin pie card stock and ta da! Fill it with mini candies and Yum! Who wouldn't want this treat for Halloween?

I love the die cut for the background of the tree with the ribbon and the rhinestone brad. The colors used are Bashful Blue, Going Gray, and whisper white. Note the dazzling diamonds on the hills and the moon. It is just my style, simple and sweet! Enjoy!

Gift Card Card

It sounds like I was stuttering on the title but I wasn't. What I am featuring today is a cute gift card card. I made it following a pattern I got from Splitcoast. I used some of the recently retired cardstock and paper from a Simply Scrappin' kit. Didn't you just love the softness of the color Pink Pirouette? Anyway, the card was made like a pack of matches. When you open it you have a little pocket for the gift card. Pull the tab and voila...you have a gift card. This one is so simple to make. Get out your supplies and make a few for the upcoming holidays and occasions you have!

Embosslit Die Sample

I wanted to share a sample made with the little embosslit die that Stampin' Up! has on special this week. These dies are great because they emboss and cut all in one motion! They are great for adding that little something to a card without all the fuss of dry embossing. Take a look and try one for yourself. Remember that this is on special only until Tuesday a.m. It sells regularly for a bargain price of 11.95 but you can get it this week for only...$5.99. Jump to my website and order one or 2 today. They make a great gift for all your stamping buddies!

Beautiful Wedding Card

While I am stuck on cakes, I thought I would post another really nice looking cake. Just look at this wedding card...it is so beautiful and simple to make. It is Whisper White card, then layered with a whisper white piece that has been embossed using the Big Shot and a Texturz Plate. The next layer is also whisper white, then you have brocade blue, and finally the stamped whisper white layer. The stamp set used was the cakes in the Fast and Fun Notes set seen on page 56 in the catalog. Add a ribbon, some embellishments from the Pretties Kit and you have a wonderfully elegant, yet so simple, wedding card!

Bulletin Board

I have made several of these little magnetic bulletin boards using my Big Shot. I used the cork board and cut it using the Top Note die from Stampin' Up! I then layered my cardstock and the Razzleberry Lemonade designer paper as seen. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. I made the push pins using my Big Shot and the Daisies #2 die from SU! I am hoping to sell several of these for quick and easy teacher gifts. The little tacks came from Target and just happened to match the DSP.

File Folder Re-Made

I saw these file folders on page 169 in the current Idea Book and Catalog and thought they were cute, but when I saw them made over into a mini journal holder...well, I was hooked. This is one of the items that I will be offering for sale at my upcoming Craft Show. The date is either 10/7 or 10/15. I hope we have some buyers because we are working hard to make lots of great items. If you are in the Atlanta area, contact me for all the details and directions.

Baby Girl Card

I just love this stamp set. It is called Cute and Cuddly and you can see it on page 77 in the new catalog. It is great for Baby Shower invitations as well as baby cards. This card uses the little bear stamp and is embellished to look like a ballerina bear. The colors used are Rose Red, Regal Rose and Whisper White. Enjoy!

Waxed Paper Embossing

Here is a new twist on an old technique. Remember waxed paper resisting? Instead of crinkling your wax paper, why not run it through the BIG SHOT to give it a design. You can do this easily with one of the embossing folders Stampin' Up! sells. Then use your brayer to add color over the embossed area. Where the wax paper is the ink will be resisted. After you have a cool background, embellish as desired. This one uses 2 stamp sets, the peacock is another one from the Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set on the inside back cover of the new catalog. The flower is from A Beautiful Thing (pg. 106). The colors used are Certainly Celery, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Whisper White. The ribbon featured is the Whisper White Organza ribbon.

Getting Crafty

I made this little magnetic bulletin board using cork and the Big Shot. I wanted to make a quick and easy gift for teachers, friends, co-workers. This one fits the bill. I used the Big Shot for the little flower push pins. The DSP is Razzleberry Lemonade. I think it will be a big hit with everyone. Now, will it sell at my craft show? That's the question!

If you are in the Marietta, Atlanta area and want to drop by the craft show, it will be this weekend, the 10th of October at my friend Beth's backyard. We are calling it a Backyard Gathering. The address is 3120 Rome Court, Marietta, 30064. Time will be 10 -3. Be sure to look for me, Judi.

Bag with Scallops

I have been really busy working on an upcoming Craft Show in October but I pulled out the Big Shot to make a Bag with Scallops for a quick challenge last night. I got the die when it first came out because I am a sucker for bags/boxes. Any way, I have not played with it as much as I should so I used the new color Dusty Durango and the Autumn Splendor stamp set and made this. It took me about 5 minutes to make it. What a fun little bag to give little treats to your friends, neighbors or co-workers.
