Kara is 3!

I can hardly believe that our grandbaby, Kara has turned 3! It seems like yesterday that I was in shock about becoming a grandmother. Now she is 3 and we cannot imagine our lives without her. Here is the card that I made for her birthday party. It features lots of punches and just a teenie bit of stamping. I saw this on Shelli's blog and it was made by Ruth Norton. It is so cute I had to copy it!

A B C card Challenge

OK, I am in this group called LateNightStampers and this week the challenge was to make an ABC card. You can use any stamp set or anything on the card as long as it starts with an A, B or C. I chose A Beautiful Life as my stamp set, and the colors I used were...certainly celery, chocolate chip and bashful blue. I also used some of the new Banbury DSP as well as bashful blue ribbon and a certainly celery brad. I hope you like it! P.S. I am not sure where I cased the card idea but all the colors are my ideas.

Pillow Box Gift

I love making things and filling them with little treats. They make great little remembrances or gifts for anyone! I put little things like this in the mailbox for my postman frequently. I also like to drop them off in boxes at school to cheer folks up or to give them a little pick-me-up. This was made using kiwi kiss, rose red, and very vanilla cardstock. I also used kiwi kiss and rose red ink. I wrapped the whole thing up with some vanilla organdy ribbon.

Punch Your Way to a 1, 2, 3 Card

This is the card I made for the 1st challenge by the Late Night Stampers Design Team. The idea is to use 1 stamp set, 2 embellishments and 3 colors. I chose Snow Swirled for my set, I used the tag and 3/4" punches, for embellishments I used Dazzling Diamonds and the white taffeta ribbon. My colors are: night of navy, whisper white and bordering blue. What do you think?

It is beginning to feel a little like fall around here. Temperatures are finally in the 60's when we get up! So, I wanted to share a fall themed card today. This card was shared with me by one of my stamping friends...Hi Paige. She did a great job and I am happy to share her work with you. She used the stamp set "Thoroughly Thankful" with Kraft and very vanilla cardstock. The coloring was done with the pastels. I love the brown ribbon, it just sets if off!

Halloween is Coming!

I can hardly believe that it is that time of year again...you know Halloween! What fun I always had trick-or-treating and getting all those goodies. Well if you are like me and too old to get the candy...you can make some fun goodies. I made this cute bag with the Stampin' Up! set-Batty for You. I used fun colors and added ribbons. Can't you just see me handing out the candy to the kids from this cute bag!

Life is Good!

I love this set...Text and Texture. It has great sentiments and it also matches some of Stampin' Up!'s new decor line. I made this card using colors from the bold brights family - Gable Green and Tempting Turquoise. The technique is called kissing. Basically I inked up the sentiment in gable green and the bacground texture in tempting turquoise then I "kissed" the 2 stamps together. What you see are the results. I also used the jumbo stars wheel for the base of the card. It just doesn't get any easier!

Glitter!!!

Here is a fun and beautiful card that we made in our Glamorous Glitter Technique Time held on the last Tuesday of every month. This card was stamped using the Stampin' Up! set "Garden Whimsy" then we covered the whole card with glue from the 2 way glue pen and ran it through the dazzling diamonds glitter. It is much prettier in real life! My class schedules are posted at my website: http://www.pamperedstampers.stampinup.net/

Open House a Success

My Open House held on Saturday, August 16th was a huge success thanks to you, my loyal customers and friends. We made 2 fun projects showcasing some of the new stamps sets and the brand new "In Colors" for this year. I gave out catalogs and we all got to catch up with old friends. I also had my "Bargan Basement Sale" and that was a huge success. You certainly helped me make room for all the new stamp sets in this seasons new beautiful catalog!

Club $15

On the 1st Tuesday of the month (unless holiday) I host a $15 club at my home. I have members rotating the snacks and the hostess gifts. We get together and make 2 projects each month, share in some fun, fellowship and food together. Our projects are always fun! Club members place a minimum $15 order and guests pay just $10 to make the projects and just lurk before joining. I hope you may be able to stop by soon. Please email me at judilsparks@hotmail.com or call me at 678-910-9891 to reserve your spot. New clubs are always forming!
